On Oct. 11-12, Xiao Xian, a researcher from the Institute of Urban Meteorology (IUM), CMA, Beijing participated in the Observational Application Seminar held in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. The Seminar was presided over by Guo Shujun, the Party Member and Deputy Director General of Hebei Meteorological Service. Lu Jianli, another Party Member of Hebei Meteorological Service, attended the meeting and made a speech. Besides, experts and technical staff from the CMA Center for Earth System Modeling and Prediction, Nanjing Joint Institute for Atmospheric Sciences, Tianjin Meteorological Service, Beijing Meteorological Service, etc. participated in this Seminar.

At the meeting, the person in charge of Hebei’s observational application program introduced corresponding work progress and subsequent applications in the model. Technical staff from Beijing and Tianjin exchanged their ideas about the following work. Experts from the CMA Center for Earth System Modeling and Prediction and Nanjing Joint Institute for Atmospheric Sciences offered their advice on observational data application.

Through this meeting, we have established a good cooperation relationship with relevant departments in other provinces and laid a solid foundation for future applications of relevant scientific and technological achievements.
