Under the arrangement of Harmony Community Foundation and WildAid, Shang Jing, associate researcher from IUM, visited Guangzhou for community research from July 28th to 30th, 2023, together with the team led by Prof. Cai Wenjia from Tsinghua University and Li Yi, senior engineer from CMA Public Meteorological Service Centre.

To obtain the status quo of adaptation measures for communities in the Pearl River Delta region under climate change, the research team investigated through questionnaires designed from the considerations in community-level preparations for summer/flood prevention measures, adaptation measures for vulnerable populations, information and education activities on climate change, public awareness, and the access to public meteorological service products.
