FANG Chuanglin
Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Distinguished Professor of the Yangtze River Scholar from the Ministry of Education. He is currently Director of the Regional and Urban Planning and Design Research Center of the Institute of Geographical Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Regional Sustainable Development Simulation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Director of the Urban Geography and Urban Development Unit. He is mainly engaged in urban geography, urbanization and urban planning, with in-depth research on urbanization process and resource and environmental protection in China, Chinese urban agglomeration sustainable development, urbanization process and ecological environment effects, as well as the urban master plan, urban control detailed plan and industrial agglomeration area plan of different types and on different spatial scales. He is a member of Institute of Development Strategy Research of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, a consultant for UN-HABITAT International Guidelines on Urban and Territorial Planning and New Urban Agenda and Chief Expert of Comprehensive Assessment Report on China's Innovative Cities. more
LUO Yong
Professor of Tsinghua University, mainly engaged in climate-water-energy research, including climate system processes and mechanisms, global climate change detection, attribution and prediction, global water cycle evolution, climate system model development, renewable energy development and utilization, and climate change risks management. He was lead author of the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and a lead author of China Climate and Environmental Evolution and of the first, second and third National Assessment Reports on Climate Change. He serves as the chairman of the Committee on Climate Change and Low Carbon Development of the Chinese Meteorological Society, Vice President of the World Climate Research Programme/China National Committee for Climate and Cryosphere, and Vice President of International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics/China National Committee of the International Association of Cryospheric Science. more

Professor at Beijing Normal University, and Executive Director of Integrated Risk Management Project/Future Earth/ICSU, with outstanding achievements in socio-economic impacts of climate change and in global change research. He is currently the Under-Secretary-General of China National Committee for International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (CNC- IHDP), Special Advisor to IHDP, and Executive Director of the Integrated Risk Governance Project - IHDP Core Project. He was chief scientist of the socio-economic impact assessment project for the WMO Beijing 2008 Olympics Forecast Demonstration Project. more
ZHANG Pingwen
Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, fellow of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, professor at Peking University, and Distinguished Professor of the Yangtze River Scholar from the Ministry of Education, with outstanding achievements in the field of multi-scale modeling and calculation of complex fluids, multi-scale analysis and calculation, mobile grid methods and calculations. He is currently assistant principal of Peking University, director of the National Engineering Lab of Big Data Analysis and Application, the director of the Scientific and Engineering Computing Center, and chairman of the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He won the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, Beijing May Fourth Youth Medal, and Feng Kang Scientific Computing Award. more
ZHANG Xiaoye
Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. He researches aspects of aerosols related to weather and climate change. He serves on the Sand & Dust Storm Warning Advisory System (SDS-WAS)/WWRP SC (chair), and the Global Atmospheric Watch (GAW)/WMO SSC (member), and Atmospheric Composition Committee of the Chinese Meteorological Association (Chair). He is a lead authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) WG1 AR4 and AR5, and review editor of AR5 synthesis report. He also served on the editorial board of international journal "Tellus B", and as associated editor of "Atmosphere Research". He published more than 360 peer-reviewed articles, with h-index 55, and received the Nobel Peace Prize (2007 Collective Award) and the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award. more
ZHOU Tianjun
Professor of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, mainly engaged in research on climate simulation, air-sea interaction, Asian-Australian monsoon variability and climate change in East Asian. He is the Deputy Director of Center for Climate Change Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-chair of World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) /Climate Variability and Predictability Programme (CLIVAR) - Asian and Australian Monsoon Commission (AAMP), and also Secretary of the China National Committee for Future Earth (CNC-FE). He won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award. more
