Xueshun SHEN
Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, deputy director and researcher at CMA Center for Earth System Modeling and Prediction, one of the first exceptional talents in meteorology of the China Meteorological Administration, first batch of leading talents in scientific and technological innovation under the national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan", National Advanced Worker, leader of the key areas of national science and technology innovation. Long-term research in numerical weather prediction and business system engineering, with systematic breakthroughs in numerical model core algorithms and global and regional high-resolution numerical prediction methods. Developed GRAPES, China's autonomous and controllable regional/global integrated numerical weather prediction business system. First Award in Science and Technology Progress of the Chinese Meteorological Society (2017), and second National Award for Science and Technology Progress (2007 and 2020)

LUO Yong
Vice Dean of the School of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Director and Professor of the Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University. Dr. Luo is actively engaged in climate-water-energy research, focusing on areas such as climate change impacts, risk management, earth system modeling, global energy-water cycle processes and mechanisms, climate change detection and projection, seasonal climate prediction, and meteorology for renewable energy. He holds several significant positions, including Vice Chair of the China National Committee of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG)/International Association of Cryospheric Sciences (IACS), Vice President of the Chinese Society of Cryosphere Science, and Vice Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Climate Change Research and Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology. Dr. Luo has also contributed as a Coordinate Lead Author for the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group II and served as the Sherpa for the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon’s High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability.

Zhiyong MENG
Prof. Zhiyong Meng is a distinguished professor at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, School of Physics, Peking University, Beijing, China. She has been the associated dean of School of Physics since 2019 and the director of China Meteorological Administration Tornado Key Laboratory since 2022. Her research interests include dynamics, data assimilation and predictability of mesoscale convective systems and tornadoes. Prof. Meng was awarded fellow of the American Meteorological Society in 2020, editor’s award for Monthly Weather Review in 2014, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2015, and the National Award of Chinese Young Women in Science Fellowship in 2014. She is now an Editor of Monthly Weather Review, Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, Science China (Earth Science) ,and Meteorological Monthly. She has been serving as a member of World Weather Research Project (WWRP) Working Group on Predictability, Dynamics and Ensemble Forecasting (PDEF) since 2014. Up to now, Prof. Meng organized or co-organized 18 conferences, workshops or summer schools, and published 83 peer-reviewed papers with a citation of 2103 per web of Science with an H index of 25, and 4328 per Google Scholar with an H index of 36.
